Written for the British Trombone Society International Trombone Week 2023 Collaboration Video, this exciting new version of one of Purcell’s best known tunes is sure to get the crowd pumping. Featuring a pulsing drumkit, this arrangement is an adaptation of the theme Benjamin Britten used in his Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, although it sounds almost nothing like it now! Each part has a starring role, with solos dotted around the ensemble, and even a sick metal riff section from the bass trombones.
